number of enquiries from people who have had their HSMP
applications refused.
The majority of these cases are being refused due to
insufficient or insufficiently detailed supporting documentation.
In practise, the HSMP looks clear cut and relatively
straightforward. The reality is somewhat different. The
documentation requirements are extremely strict. In addition,
you will not be given the opportunity to submit additional
documents – your application will be assessed on
what you included in your original application.
Unless your application is 100% perfect, your application
stands a good chance of refusal and you will lose the
government fee of GBP 400.
